Shire Wood - Sept Update
September, 2019
Shire Wood continues to take shape with the rough grading completed for our new main roads - Crane Hollow and Gold Bluff Ct.
In addition, construction on our Gabion Walls has started as well as shoreline construction and site prep completed on Lot 6. See photo gallery below for a look at the progress to date.
You can read all about it, but the best way to truly appreciate Shire Wood is to come visit us. 🌅
Lot 6
Shoreline construction and final grading on lot 6 has been completed. Final grading included clearing space for an accessory building to be built. Building pad is 24'x32' but could be expanded if needed.
In addition, the new owner will enjoy expansive views from a new rip-rap shoreline and terraced water frontage plus have the benefit of having their driveway already mostly installed.
Gabion Walls
Construction has begun of the Gabion walls that'll be located at both main entrances as well as at each driveway.
Check out the video for a quick look on how these features are being built and filled with stone from the area.
Shire Wood Sustainability
The design focus for Shire Wood is sustainability of the natural environment so current and future generations of humans and wildlife could cohabit peacefully.
Oak, cherry and walnut timber was recycled from the property, and is available for furniture and building material for Shire Wood homes.
